We are now looking for an engaged Security Protection Specialist who wants to contribute to the development of civil defense. As a Security Protection Specialist, you will become part of the unit for vital communication services and belong to the section for continuity and security. In the role, you work both strategically and operationally and contribute to ensuring that operations meet current requirements and regulations within security protection.

Your responsibilities and tasks

Your responsibilities include coordinating and supporting the work of developing, implementing, and following up on security protection analyses, security protection assessments, security protection plans, and security protection instructions. You ensure that these documents are appropriate, up-to-date, and well-rooted in the operations. Furthermore, you plan and conduct information and training initiatives for different target groups, as well as coordinate workshops and work meetings to strengthen the organization's capabilities in the field of security protection.

You are also responsible for following up on and controlling the organization's protective measures, where you identify needs for improvements through analyses and structured follow-up, contributing to the development of internal processes and routines. The role involves handling and following up on security protection-related incidents and ensuring systematic learning within the organization. Furthermore, you provide qualified support to managers and employees regarding the application and compliance with security protection regulations, contributing to strengthening the organization's security awareness.

Your knowledge and competencies

We are looking for you who have:

• Relevant education in the security field or equivalent experience as assessed by the employer.
• Good knowledge of regulatory requirements within the field of security protection.
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.

The following are meritorious:

• Experience of security protection work in an organization conducting security-sensitive operations.
• Training in analysis within security protection and/or operational security.
• Experience of working with personnel security.
• Experience of working with physical security.
• Experience of working with information security.
• Experience of working with signal security.
• Experience of conducting training and/or lectures.

About the employment

We offer you a permanent full-time position starting with a probationary period.

Your place of work will be Karlstad or Stockholm, and travel during employment will occur.

The majority of our positions involve placement in a security class. Swedish citizenship is usually required. In the event of placement in a security class, a security investigation with register check will be conducted prior to employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Most employees at the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency are war-placed.

About us

The section for continuity and security is responsible for the systematic work with security protection, signal security, physical security, information security, IT security, and continuity. Our mission is to educate, guide, and support operations in security and continuity-related issues in daily work, as well as to ensure that rules and requirements in the security area are complied with. Within the section's area of responsibility, there is also the task of operating and developing a Security Operations Center (SOC). On the unit, we are today 9 employees located in both Karlstad and Stockholm.

We have activity-based offices where you can choose your workplace according to your own needs. You also have the opportunity to work partially remotely.
